Quinoa’s Take: Star Wars Hair – Don’t Force It
Hi, it’s Quinoa. I see you’re dressing up to go see the new Star Wars movie for the eleventh time and, while I respect your devotion to this….hobby/religion, I’m going to have to ask you to step away from the Princess Leia Double Cinnamon Bun Hairdo. Frankly, we’re all worried about you.
You see, just as the Force has a light and a dark side, so does the hairstyling of an obsessed fan. We all know that you’re Rey on the inside, so why do you keep Vader-ing your hair on the outside? It’s not right. Let me teach you an old Jedi hairstyling trick: don’t force it. (Get it? Don’t “force” it?) The point is, you can be stylish and subtle without going JarJar Binks awkward.
Let’s break this down visually…

NOT FORCED

WHOA, WAY TOO FORCED

NOT SO FORCED

SO FORCED IT HURTS

NOT FORCED
If you need a how-to for the Rey-inspired hairstyle, this is a good one.
FORCED

JUST A TINY BIT FORCED, BUT STILL OKAY

EVEN LESS FORCED

COOL, BUT FORCED

NOT AS FORCED, STILL AS COOL

It’s all making sense now isn’t it? I knew you could master this. Go now, and may the not-so-forced be with you.
