It’s Time to Go Back and Give Big
Remember the joys of back-to-school supply shopping? The smell of a fresh pack of No. 2 pencils? The crisp new edges of colorful folders? The thrill of a stack of new books to explore? The possibilities of a brand new school year seem to be embodied in these all-too-important supplies.
Unfortunately, too often these simple joys of going back to school are a burden on families who are unable to fulfill their back to school list. So as kids around the country are gearing up to go back to school, we are stepping up to supply some of that “gear” by outfitting 525 school children (15 classrooms!) with the supplies they need to foster learning and development.
And just like a good student, we’ve done our own homework and chosen some smart partners to make it happen:
- Our partner Baby2Baby is a nonprofit organization that provides low-income children, ages 0-12 years, with diapers, clothing, and all the basic necessities that every child deserves. By teaming up, we’re able to make an impact on the students who need it the most.
- Our partner Yoobi makes bright, colorful school supplies with a one-for-one mission. That means for every item purchased, a Yoobi item will be donated to a classroom in need, right in the U.S. (Which also means that by purchasing the supplies from Yoobi, we’re able to help an additional 240 children, putting our total at 765 kids!)
But, of course, our most important partner is (drumroll, please) …YOU! How? Start by following SoCozy on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Then, for every like, comment, or share on our social media posts with hashtag #GoBackGiveBig, we’ll donate $1 to the campaign. That’s right, every double-tap of your thumb equals a dollar toward the cause! The more you interact, the faster we reach our goal. In a very real way, it’s you who will make all the difference.
So, consider this the first back-to-school assignment and join us in making this best school year ever. Let’s go back and give big!
